Parents of the Year
10. How do you protect & foster your kid's personalities and unique traits?
Show Notes

Caroline kicks off the episode by calling back to a previous episode where Andy called her out on her planning skills.  Andy highlights that free-spirited living requires someone to work on keeping the details straight. Caroline calls Andy an enabler.

From there they move on to the actual topic of conversation, which is how to protect those unique traits that make your kids unique.

With all that the world throws at our kids, it seems like they grow up so fast. The discussion focuses on how to try and model the behaviour we want our kids to hold on to for as long as possible, the pressures of the outside world, and how to help kids navigate those situations.

Can we help them to build up enough resilience to fend off those pressures when we're not there to protect them?

What are the steps that we can take to help younger kids prepare themselves?

Is there anything we can do to help older kids reclaim some of that youthful exuberance?

There's a lot to unfold in the hopes we can let our kids be kids for as long as possible.
